It's been 3 months...

...and way overdue on an update!

Sebastian is now 8 months and in a week will turn 9 months! He is growing so much and definitely keeping Mommy and Daddy on their toes. Unofficially at 8 months he is around 17 pounds.

In November he got his first two bottom teeth; they actually poked through on November 22nd, the day Grandpa Ramiro/Uncle Alex arrived to Chicago to visit and on Grandma Cecy/Tia Chayo's birthday. His first Thanksgiving was spent at The Manchester's in the afternoon and then with Madrina Carmen at Mari's and Bart Madden's house.

In December he spent his first Christmas and New Year's in San Antonio, Texas! Grandma Cecy decorated his room and got him his first rocking horse. Sebastian learned how to walk in a walker and started eating all kinds of things he shouldn't--like cake, cheesecake, candy, and pork meat off a bone! :-) Just a few tastes from San Antonio. He also made his first trip to Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico with Grandpa Ramiro.

In January after getting home to Chicago and having developed some leg muscles from the walker, Sebastian started crawling all around the house and standing on things. He has also become more independent with eating; he wants to feed himself so we have steered away from pureed food and giving Sebastian more finger foods including vegetables and meats.

In January Sebastian also started his first class called Music Together with Omar and started going to a baby sitter, Richard's cousin Mary. With the adjustment in San Antonio of being around many people he did well adjusting to going to the sitter and being away from Mommy all day. Two top teeth also started popping through and two more top ones are making their way. Poor baby has been in some pain as he has been fussy and tossing and turning at night. But, overall, he has been a real trooper.

So that is the quick and dirty update of the last 3 months. I'll post some pictures and videos in the next few days.
